Machinist (VTL Operator):
Manufacture close tolerance parts to print using FANUC controlled CNC vertical turret lathe machine tools.
Essential Job Functions:
- Ability to set-up VTL for part machining to include: loading and offset setting of tools, machine zero setting and related tasks.
- Perform in-process inspection of part in accordance with quality control department
- Interpret G&M code CNC program for FANUC CNC control and utilize machine safety mechanisms (single block, rapid over-rides, etc.) to prove out programs and prevent machine tool collisions.
- Required to make machine offsets to cutting tools and zero positions based on part print dimensions.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
- Willingness to work in a team environment.
Machinist (Lathe Operator):
Experienced Lathe Operator. Capable of aligning and securing holding fixtures and selecting the necessary speed/feeds, cutting tools, and attachments to produce defect free close tolerance complex parts that conform to the supplied drawings. Knowledge of programming language and the proven ability to operate and understand the function of the controls is necessary. Must be a self-starter required to work in a team environment, participate in problem solving and the implementation of solutions to ensure success. Must have an in-depth knowledge of GD&T, the ability to calculate dimensions and tolerances using strong math skills, and be capable of using precision inspection equipment.
Cost Estimator:
Applicants must have a proven background in machine shop operations capable of preparing complete costing estimates. Individual should be familiar with various manual and CNC shop equipment and their operations (i.e.: milling, turning, grinding, etc.).
Responsible for preparing customer quotations; Based on specifications determine the types of materials needed to manufacture product and obtain cost estimates from suppliers. Determine a rough and finish sequence of manufacturing steps to make the product. Prepare the request for quote based on the above information and using cost, markup and other financial factors provided by management.
Interact with other engineering and manufacturing staff concerning quoting assumptions. Customer interaction and communication Verbal, Written, Electronic.
Machinist (Vertical/Horizontal Mills):
EXPERIENCE NECESSARY
Position Summary:
Manufacture close tolerance parts to print using Mazatrol controlled CNC vertical and horizontal CNC machine tools.
All shifts available.
Machinist:
Operation of lathe or milling machine from print to part. Determines required fixturing, tooling, and programming processes.
Job requires you to have previous manufacturing background operating, programming, and/or setup of mills and/or lathes.
Requires excellent math skills. 2 years + experience preferred. All shifts available.
